How To Create Your Own Posting Mode

In the Inventory Module go to Activities>Inventory>Post Items

Once in the Post Items screen select Task>Other

Then the Edit List screen appears. Here is where you are going to create your own posting mode. For this example we will create a posting mode for stolen. I will now select Add.

At this point the Add Item screen comes up. In the box I will type in Stolen.

Once I finish typing in Stolen I select OK. We now see Stolen in our Edit List window. I then Close the Edit List window.

Now when I use the drop arrow for Posting Mode I see my Stolen Posting Mode is now an option as a posting mode.

Now to post my item as stolen, in the Item field I enter the account-item number and press the Enter key.

After I press Enter the item then appears on the right hand side showing what items will be posted.

I now select the Finish button to post the item.

I go back into the account the item was from I see by looking at my inventory list the item now shows Unavailable for the Status and Stolen for the Disposition.
