How to Donate Items
In order for items to be donated from an account the account itself must allow for items to be donated. On the account detail screen, make sure the account where items will be donated from has the Allow Donate check box checked. This check box will ensure that each NEW item added to this account will be automatically set to allow it to be donated when needed.

Each item when viewed in the add/edit item screen will also contain an allow donate indicator. This allows you to specify if certain items are to be donated or not.

Knowing the above options will allow you to now mark an item as donated.
To do so, click on Activities > Inventory > Post Items in the Inventory Module.

When the new screen appears, click on the drop down menu and choose Donated.

Then enter the account - item number to the item you wish to donate in the Item field.

Type the Enter key to continue. The item name will then appear on the right side of the screen.

Next, click the Finish button to post the item as donated.

You may now return to the account which the item was donated from to view the item status and disposition.
