To mark an item as returned to the consignor, you will need to post it as returned:

This will bring up the post items screen:

The first thing will be to select the posting mode itself. We have a couple built in posting modes, but you can create your own as well.
To mark an item are returned, make sure the Posting Mode is set to Returned.
Using the Single Item tab, you will need to enter the Account-Item# for each item you wish to post, pressing enter after each one. Once you hit enter, the item will show up on the list on the right side of the screen. Once you have entered all the items to post, click the Finish button in the top right corner to post. If you do not hit finish and just close it, nothing will be posted.

Once I click the Finish button above, the item will be marked as Returned.

As you can see, the item is no longer available and its Disposition is showing Returned
