Item Status in Liberty can be one of the following:
- Available
- Unavailable
- Needs Info.
Changing the Item Status depends on what its status is. By default, most items will have their Item Status set to Available. If an item is Available, you can only change it to Unavailable by A) selling it or B) using the Post Items routine. To change an Item Status from Needs Info. to Available, it's just a matter of entering the information Liberty told you about.

If an item is saved but you didn't enter a Price, Liberty will prompt you when you save the item...

When this happens, the item is set to Needs Info. Needs Info is just Liberty's way of telling you there is information missing on your item. In my first example, I didn't enter a Price. Liberty gave me a pop-up telling me so. Each time this happens it creates a Reminder.

I can double-click the Reminder and it will take me directly to the item in question...

When you have items that have a Marketplace set...

The list of things giving the item its Needs Info. status, is longer...

So as you can see, Needs Info. is pretty much Available, but it's missing some information that you probably want to enter - e.g. Price.
If an item is Unavailable, the only ways to make it Available again are:
- If it has a Disposition of Sold, you can refund the sale via POS. You can also Void the sale in POS.
- If the Disposition is Donated, Returned or one you created, you would Unpost the item.
