Setting up Coupons.
In the POS screen, click on Setup > Maintain Coupons.

On the next screen, click on the Add button.

The next screen will allow you to specify the coupon type, description, amount, expire date, and maximum value. The maximum value refer to the limit to which you would like the coupon applied to. For example, if someone purchases $500.00 worth of items and the coupon has a $200.00 max, the 10% discount is only applied to the first $200.00.
Variable Amount = User must type the dollar amount of the coupon each time it is redeemed.
Flat Amount = $1.00, $2.00, $3.00 etc.
Percentage = 5%, 10%, 15% etc.

Click OK then Close to save your changes. The new coupon created will now appear under your Coupon button in POS.

Note: Be sure to enter the items into POS prior to clicking on the coupon button and selecting your coupon option.
You can create multiple coupons types if needed.
