How To Sell A Gift Card:
1. Launch Point of Sale
2. Click the Fee (F6) button

3. Click the Gift Card button

4. Enter the dollar amount you would like to issue the gift card for - e.g. if you would like to sell a $50 gift card, type 50 and click OK.

You should now see Point of Sale has a line item for Gift Card, ready to be sold...

5. Enter a sufficient payment amount/select the form of payment your customer is using to purchase this gift card...

6. When you click Finish, you will be prompted to enter the card number you are issuing to your customer...

7. When you click OK, you'll see a Gift Card has been issued in the amount specified...

How To Take a Gift Card Payment:
1. Ring up items as usual...

2. Click the Gift Card payment type...

3. You will be prompted to enter/swipe/scan the card number...

4. Click OK and you will see the payment has been accepted (if the card's balance was enough to cover the Total Due)...

5. Click Finish and Liberty will display the remaining balance on the card...

Additional Information:
- If the balance on the Gift Card is not enough to cover the total due, Liberty will let you know...

If you click Yes, Liberty will utilize the remaining balance. If you click No, you will need to enter an additional form of payment or specify the exact amount you would like to pull off the Gift Card.
- If you would like to check the remaining balance on the card - e.g. if the customer wants to know how much is on it, before he/she starts shopping - just click Reports > Check Gift Card Balance...
