In prior versions of L4C such as 3.5a and 3.5b, one would have to complete a suspended sale and then refund the sale for it to become an available item again.
With version 3.5c you can simply click the Cancel button in POS to cancel the suspended sale. Please see the images below:
Click File > Suspended Sales

Click Cancel

Answer No to "Would you like to leave the sale suspended?"
