I received an email this morning that very much appeared to be from PayPal. The email subject was PayPal Dispute Transaction. The email stated that someone in California used money from my account to buy an Iphone for $399.99. It asked me to click the link provided if I did not make the purchase. I clicked the link and another very much looking PayPal page loaded asking me to sign in to PayPal. If you login as directed, another PayPal looking page loads, but none of the links work. At this point your PayPal login name and password are in the hands of criminals. If you do as I did you MUST IMMEDIATELY go to PayPal.com and login (for real) and change your password before the criminals do and take your money and banking info.

I have reported this scam to PayPal and to the Federal Government.

A good rule of thumb, if you receive an email from ebay, paypal, or your bank that seems questionable, don't click the link in the email. Go to the website, login to your account as normal. If it's legitimate, you will be able to find it there
