This tutorial will show you how to setup Liberty to give a discount to consignors when using store credit vs a payout.

In the Point of Sale, you can set a percentage to apply a discount when using Store Credit.

To get to this option, in the POS go to Setup >> POS Setup...

At the bottom of the POS Setup screen, you will see the option for Apply a discount when using Store Credit of [x]%

Here is where you set how much of the discount to use when store credit is used. For our example, we will set this to 10%.

Now, I ring up the sale like I normally would. In this case, I have a delivery fee of $100 and want to use the $10 I have in my account to pay for a portion. Open up the customer's account like normal via the Select Customer button.

Now when I select the Store Credit button and use all $10 I have in my account, an additional payment of Store Credit Discount is applied as a payment (10% of the store credit used).

Ultimately, this gives 10% more purchasing power to the customer for using store credit vs if you had paid the client out. This will keep the money in your store which I'm sure everyone will agree is good for business.

The tutorial had numbers chosen specifically so everything came out nice and neat. This will not always be the case (and likely the norm to not be neat).

The discount will always be the x% of the store credit used. So for my example, if I am going to use all of my store credit that I can to pay for an item that costs 7.99, the numbers will turn out to look odd. Here is an example:

Now when hitting store credit, it will apply the following payments:

As you can see, it is using $7.26 of store credit with a discount of $0.73. The discount being 10% of the store credit that will be ultimately used.
