A customer had a question:
When we enter new items into consignors accounts and they are to be donated at the end of the time period how do we designate that status? As of right now we enter everything into the system as a return and enter "D" into the description so that we know it is to be donated when we pull a list of items. Also, when we are trying to enter a tag number into "activites/post items/donate" we are getting an error message that the item is not available to donate yet it shows available in the consignors inventory.
It sounds like you are attempting to post it properly, but the item does need to be marked to allow it to be donated.
Here is an example, you will find it on the item entry/edit screen.

If the Allow Donate is not checked, the system will not let you post the item as donated. You will get the following error:

If you do not see the Allow Donate box on the item entry/edit screen, you may need to show that field. Please see below for instructions to show this field.
