CONSIGNMENT CONTRACT - R3

This is an contract between the "The Consignor"(the Person(s) responsible for the account referenced above) and "The Store" Cody Inc. (JARRED'S Homegoods & Consignment | The Old Curiosity Shop)

This agreement gives the store permission to price items left for consignment at The Store's discretion, Unless otherwise noted in writing by the consignee. This agreement also allows for the displaying of such items on the sales floor and online.

Terms:
"The Store” accepts antiques, furniture, artwork, accessories, glassware, china, collectibles, and jewelry. We do not accept appliances, televisions, stereos, or broken/chipped items.

All items must be clean, complete, in good working order, and not in need of refinishing or re-upholstering. Exceptions are made for some antiques.

The store has the right to reject items they feel are not salable in their market. It is The Consignee's responsibility to return to check the item list and sign it within five (5) days of dropping items off.

Minimum of a 90 Day Consignment Period. For Items Sold Under $1500, The Store pays the consignee 50% of the item's sale price. The store's Commission for handling the sale is the remaining 50%. For Items Sold $1500 and Over, The Store pays the consignee 60% of the item's sale price. The store's Commission for handling the sale is the remaining 40%.You can Earn up to an additional 10% in Commission when paying for in-store purchases using your store credit!

At 30 Days the price of the item will drop by up to 10% of the original sale price.
At 60 Days the price will drop by up to 20% of the original sale price. (***Except Jewelry, Rugs, and Chandeliers***) At 90 Days the item will markdown 50% or more of the original price. We may offer to renew your contract with 50% or more off the original set price and no markdown's.

Consignor agrees to participate in any promotional sale events. These events allow customers to buy items at the price at the next markdown date, and may include deeper markdown's up to 50% off original price. The Store runs these events no more than once each quarter. Sale events do not exceed a period of 7 days.

At 90 days the consignment period will expire. The Consignor may start to pickup items on the 80th day. Items may be removed by the consignor prior to 80 days for a fee of 20% of the original selling price. Upon the items' expiration, the item(s) will be donated to the store. If an item is left in the store beyond the expiration date and sells, the money will go to the store without notice. It is the Consignors responsibility to keep tract of the item's dates.

Additional Service fees may apply to items that require excessive cleaning or repair work. These fees will be discussed with the consignee prior to accepting the item on consignment.

Consignor's may use there money owed as a Store Credit. Money used as store credit can result in up to 10% Extra in Commission! Commission Checks are available for the prior month's sales on the 20th of each month. Checks that are not picked up at the store are automatically mailed on the last day of the month. There is a $1.00 check writing fee that is deducted from each commission check. Checks that are under $20 will not be Automatically written. Checks that are lost can be replaced for a $25 fee.

The Store is not responsible for damage, loss or theft to any item(s). The consignor should keep items on consignment insured by other means, such as home-owners. The Store holds the right to terminate this contract or return individual items at anytime for any reason.

A maintenance and administration fee of $1.00 is added to each item up to $99.99. For Items priced at over $100 the fee is $10.00. For Items priced under $10 there is no fee. This fee does not effect the agreed upon sale price and does NOT affect the consignor. The fee helps to cover the cost of: Cleaning, Merchandising, Advertising, and Sales Staff.

Cody Inc. may update the terms and conditions of this contract and will dully notify the consignor.

It is The Consignor's responsibility to return to check the item list and sign it within five (5) days of dropping items off. Upon a failure to sign the item list the store will NOT be held responsible for any subsequent dissatisfaction on part of the consignee.

Thank you for sharing this! I see the question, "what should I put in my Consignment Contract" all the time! New stores ask this on TGTBT.com and our customers ask us as well.

This is one of those areas that a lot of stores need help on when starting out, so I commend you for sharing this sort of helpful information with everyone. :)
