Scenario: Let's say you have a retail or store item such as a baseball cap with a quantity of 100. A customer comes in to your store and would like to purchase 50 of these baseball caps.
Note: This method assumes you have one line item with a quantity. Meaning you have one account-item number for all 100 baseball caps.
TIP: To prevent having to type or scan the account-item number 50 times into the POS screen, the following steps can be performed.
Enter or scan the account-item into the POS screen as you would in a normal sale. Next, type the quantity needed to be sold (in this example it would be 49). Since we already entered the item once we can type 49 so that it equals 50 baseball caps. Once you type the quantity to be sold press the Q key on your keyboard. The Q key represents "quantity to be sold". This would automatically re-enter the same account-item number 49 times for you.
