Can you have a 'user account' run Liberty? or do you NEED to have an Administrator Account?

I am still wondering if you need to run liberty from an ADMINISTRATOR account, or can you use a USER account?

The administrator account is required to install Liberty, updates and patches.
I believe that you can user account but you will need to create the Liberty application short cuts to the user's desktop. You will also need to provide full control access to the new user on the local RWD folder and server's RWD folder that is mapped.
Let us know if you after trying or confirming the above your still not able to use a user account to run Liberty 4 Consignment.

So when Using windows XP Pro, you must be logged in as an administor, even though the user has access to the liberty software, they dont have access to the SQL Server....
Can they improve this for future versions....

The reason it isn't working is that regular Windows User Accounts don't have sufficient rights to the Resaleworld registry keys. You need to give "Full Control" rights to a User Group containing the User Accounts you want to have access to Liberty. By using a User Group, any new employees you add in the future will automatically have access to Liberty if they are a member of the Group. Once you have made this change, it will no longer be necessary for User Accounts to be members of the Administrators Group to run Liberty.

Could you please elaborate on how to do this...
We currently are using group policy to 'suppress' most admin functions for the user group (security group) (we have a domain) 'store emplyee'. What do u mean?
The SQL Database when i opened with SQL Express Management Studio.... i added the user group and even individual usernames too still they can open liberty... but they can not have access to the database????
