We have not downloaded 3.5a yet, we're still using 3.1c. With the resolution of the report module problem, I'm wondering if we should download it now. If I do, would I still have to download the patch or have you incorporated it into the current version that is on the Resaleworld website? Also, are there any additional known issues that would make me want to wait a bit more before I download??? I'm looking forward to all the new features and improvements.:) Thanks!!

Once we close out the build, it will be a new update all together. I would just wait until 3.5"b" is posted to shorten the amount of moves-to-the-goal.

If the full build isn't closed out by this afternoon though, I will be releasing a patch for the Report Writer and the Backup Utility; rolled-up into one download. The fixes in those two modules need to hit the streets a.s.a.p.

Thanks for posting and thanks for the feedback!

A patch for 3.5a has been released and is available for download via My Resaleworld (http://my.resaleworld.com). We are working on the Report Writer as I type and beta phase 1 has been sent out to beta testers.

The patch for 3.5a is currently available for download via My Resaleworld. This addresses the backup and eBay Motors issues. The Report Writer has a handful more additions and fixes that need to be added, so that module will take a little longer. In addition to the module, there are actual report changes, so the list is not as short as the few issues that came up with the rest of 3.5a.

I do have a beta version of the Report Writer available for download, so let me know via support@resaleworld.com if you're interested and I'll add you to the beta list! The current beta module addresses two issues:

- Date "vanishing" when clicking in the calendar control; only on Criteria flagged as "Custom"
- Data returned when running reports via Liberty or POS returns "all" data instead of data based on inputted criteria
- Multiple monitor setup not displaying the calendar control properly

These are just some of the issues that were resolved immediately. We're still working the reports, et al as mentioned, and we'll have that posted to the beta testers a.s.a.p.

Do you have a full install version of the 3.5 software ready? (So it doesnt install as the defauly instance?).... You gave me the link to download it before, but the RWX helper service had a glitch that kept ging it a socket error...

But I am geting a new server and I would like to install it now.. thanks.

:)

Also Im interested in also doing some beta testing on a seperate machine with a training database. :)

The 3.5a full installer will search for any instances of SQL to determine if it will be installed with our packaged MSDE 2000 or as a instance. We have installed this version on several customers already without incident. Currently, there have not been any reported issues with installing Liberty as a instance with the new 3.5a full installer.

In your case with SBS 2003, if you are installing this on a client be sure to type "your server name"\Liberty in the RWDBUtil.exe > Server Name field .
Do Not add additional slashes before or after the above example.

Keep us posted!

I have another issue:
When using X-Charge as an integrated CC Proccessor (Cam Commerece)
And posting a Refund as a Debit Transaction, it posts right on the reciept but doen't show in X-charge correctly (it proccess it as a Debit Purchase instead of a Debit Return)....

For instance I had a customer purchase a $72.00 Dollar item and they used Debit.
They came back to return the vase, We did REFUND, scanned the item, selected the receipt #, and choose the refund payment method. (debit), and it printed $(72.00) on the return receipt.
In X-charge it showed as a Debit Purchase for 72.00 and charged the customer.

I was on the phone with X-charge for a while, they seem to think it lies with the integration.

I can Debit return fine from within the X-charge software fine.

You can do the debit return in X-charge. Per our call history it appears as though your store has confirmed this with Angel.

The reason this was not added is because each credit and debit transaction costs your store money. A debit refund is going to cost you more than refunding the person in cash. The majority of our customers have found this to be the most cost effective method of processing debit refunds.

it cost us 35 cents to refund a debit transaction. it is worth it. And if it 'doesn;t work', it should warn when having a negative amount and choosing debit.

We are running version 3.5a and noticed the date modified is incorrect for rwddata. Our daily backup does not indicate there is an error with the backup job and received completed successfully msg.
Is this one of the know issues with 3.5a and if so how could I get the fix.
Thanks.

This is an old and known issue. We released 3.5a August of 2008. We then released the 3.5a follow-up patch immediately thereafter. The 3.5a patch fixes the RWDBack bug. We sent out a mass-emailer notifying our customers of this patch as well. If you've just reinstalled on a new computer though, using the 3.5a CD, the bug is back.

The current fix? Install the latest Liberty update, that's it! Are you on a Support Plan? If so, just log in to http://my.resaleworld.com/ and download the 3.6 update.

If you're not on a Support Plan, email support@resaleworld.com directly and we can send you the 3.5a follow-up patch.
