Aside from the "Dot Matrix" Check Type in Liberty, the two primary Check Types are Quicken and Laser. Both of these Check Types print to a standard laser or inkjet printer on 8.5 x 11 check-stock. The difference between the two is simply this:

Quicken: Check > Stub > Stub
Laser: Stub > Check > Stub

So what does this mean? All this means is, the Quicken Check Type is formatted in such as way that the actual check is the top-most portion of the print out, followed by the stub (for the client) and then the stub (for the store). The Laser Check Type simply has the check itself in the middle of the document.
